The IMATEC study program offers a total of 84 Erasmus Mundus scholarships on a competitive basis. The scholarships will be allocated over four intakes (four cohorts of students), starting from September 2023, with a finish of the program in September 2028.

Students with dual nationality of a Programme and of a Partner Country must specify the nationality under which they submit their application.
Students are encouraged to apply using their Programme Country passport.
Holders of European Union passports do not need to apply for a Czech residence permit which significantly eases their arrival process in the Czech Republic.
Throughout the run of the Erasmus Mundus IMATEC project, the total of 84 scholarships are divided as follows:
The emphasis will be put on the balanced geographical origin of students and balanced gender participation. No more than 10 % of the total number of scholarships can be awarded to candidates of the same nationality.
The scholarship covers the following costs:
The travel costs from the student’s home country to the Czech Republic shall be fully covered by the student’s own resources. The monthly allowance of 1 400 EUR will be paid only after the student’s physical arrival in the Czech Republic and official enrolment in UCT Prague.
Students who have already benefited from an Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters scholarship before are NOT eligible to apply for the IMATEC scholarship.
The total of 16 places are reserved for non-scholarship holders from Partner Countries.
Non-scholarship holders cover living costs, accommodation and other related costs at their own expense. The tuition fee at all partner universities is waived for non-scholarship holders.
The estimated amount of the living costs, accommodation and other related costs range from 30.000–35.000 EUR for the whole study period.
A total of 20 places are reserved for self-payers from the Programme & Partner Countries.
Self-payers pay the tuition fees at all partner universities (14 800 EUR per the whole duration of the studies, i.e. 4 semesters), living costs, accommodation and other related costs at their own expense.
The estimated amount of the living costs, accommodation and other related costs range from 30.000–35.000 EUR for the whole study period.
