SCHOLARSHIP

The IMATEC study programme offers a total of 84 Erasmus Mundus scholarships on a competitive basis. The scholarships will be allocated into four intakes over a period of four years, from September 2023 till September 2026.

Double nationality

Students with a double nationality of a Partner and of a Programme Country must specify the nationality under which they submit their application. 

Please wisely consider visa aspects of the double nationality when submitting the application, holders of European Union passport do not need to apply for residence permit in the Czech Republic, Spain and Finland.

SCHOLARSHIP ALLOCATION

A total of 84 scholarships is offered

Throughout the run of the Erasmus Mundus IMATEC project, the total of 84 scholarships are divided as follows:

  • 20 scholarships will be available for applicants from Programme Countries
  • 40 scholarships will be available for applicants from Partner countries
  • 3 scholarships will be available for applicants IPA Partner countries
  • 21 scholarships will be available for applicants from NDICI Partner countries

The emphasis will be put on the balanced geographical origin of students and balanced gender participation. No more than 10 % of the total number of scholarships can be awarded to candidates of the same nationality. 

The scholarship covers the following costs:

  • The students’ participation costs: tuition fee, library and laboratory costs, and any other mandatory costs related to the student’s participation in the Master study programme;
  • An allowance of 1 400 EUR per month for subsistence, student travel, and accommodation costs for the entire 2-year duration of the study programme.

The travel costs from the student’s home country to the Czech Republic shall be fully covered by the student’s own resources. The monthly allowance of 1 400 EUR will be paid only after the student’s physical arrival in the Czech Republic and official enrolment in UCT Prague. 

Students who have already benefited from an Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters scholarship before are NOT eligible to apply for the IMATEC scholarship.

Non-scholarship holder places

The total of 16 places are reserved for non-scholarship holders from Partner Countries.
Non-scholarship holders cover living costs, accommodation and other related costs at their own expense. The tuition fee at all partner universities is waived for non-scholarship holders.

Self-payers places

The total of 20 places are reserved for self-payers from Programme & Partner Countries.
Self-payers cover the tuition fees at all partner universities (14 800 EUR per the whole duration of the studies, i.e. 4 semesters), living costs, accommodation and other related costs at their own expense.

The estimated amount of the living costs, accommodation and other related costs range from 30 000–35 000 EUR for the whole study period.
